About me
Hi, I’m Mariel Robertson — a Venezuelan journalist, writer, and mom of three (Gabriel, Charlie, and Kate). I am also the widow of the love of my life, Sean, and a woman learning to live with love and grief side by side.
When my beloved husband passed away, our beautiful baby girl was only three months old. Since then, I’ve been writing our way forward: through the softness and the storms, the baseball games, the long winter, and the tiny miracles that keep choosing us every day.
From this journey came my first children’s book, The Day Daddy Became Invisible, a tender story written to help my children, and others, navigate loss with hope, imagination, and love.
Now living in Canada, I continue to write stories rooted in healing and the invisible threads that connect us. Here, I share weekly reflections on motherhood, faith, grief, and the courage it takes to begin again.
If you want to follow along, I’d be honored to write to you. You can subscribe on the homepage for book updates and new essays. Thank you for being here, your presence is a kind of light.
