EVERYDAY MESSAGES
Every day, I get a message — sometimes from someone who knew Sean, other times from someone who knows me.
They come from different countries, different chapters, and different moments in our lives. Dear friends from long ago, new friends from recent years… and every now and then, one message surprises me. Someone I never imagined was reading my words or following my journey reaches out — to tell me how something I shared touched them, inspired them, gave them comfort, or even became a source of motivation in their own life.
And it’s just beautiful. Because you never really know the impact you can have on others — or the impact they can have on you.
Recently, one of those messages arrived late at night while I couldn’t sleep. It was from someone who had spoken to Sean before our trip, the trip where he passed away. They told me how happy he was — how much he talked about his family, the kids, and his wife.
It’s not that I forget — I know how much he loved us. But messages like these bring me so much comfort. They are gentle reminders of the love and happiness we lived so fully.
They remind me that life is good. That it is beautiful. That God has been good, and that I have been deeply loved. Because I have truly been blessed — I lived the best kind of love, and the most beautiful life.
And so did Sean.
He was happy. He was truly loved. He found me — the love of his life — and he knew the purest love of all: the one he felt for our three beautiful children.
Sean had it all. We had it all.
His leaving came far too soon, but he also lived what many never do — even in a lifetime twice as long.
To all of you who reach out, who read, who feel, who share — thank you.
You remind me that love continues in many forms, and that connection is the most precious gift of all.
Love you all.
