I SHOULD’VE TAKEN MORE VIDEOS
Sean used to say I took too many photos.
And Gab would laugh and tell me, “Mom, you don’t have to take pictures of everything.”
But deep down, I knew I was going to need them — every single one.
One night, I was in bed scrolling through my phone, looking at our photos. Sean was lying beside me. I turned to him and said, “Mi amor, we don’t have enough photos.” He smiled, pulled me close, and said, “Then take more, take all the photos you want.”
Now I look at them every day, and they’re still not enough.
I wish we had lived in a reality show — recorded every day, every laugh, every little moment. Because that was a chapter of our lives I never want to forget. We’ll have new ones, happy ones, but that was the chapter — the raw one, the original one, the real one. The best one.
I want to replay it over and over again, like our favorite movie or TV show.
Even after he passed away, I remember wanting to take a photo of every part of him, just so I wouldn’t forget. I was so incredibly lucky to have such a beautiful, unique partner and lover.
He was beautiful — all over.
And that’s why today, I tell everyone: take the photo, record the video.
Yes, live the moment — laugh, dance, be present — but also capture it.
Because one day, those photos and videos won’t just be memories.
They’ll be treasures.
Proof that you lived, that you loved, that you were there — together.
So take the photo. Take all the photos you want.
You’ll never regret having too many,
but you might regret not having enough.
